BAF course certificate awarding-ceremony held at FSI

The certificate awarding ceremony of No 53 Flight Safety Officers' Course of Bangladesh Air Force was held at Flight Safety Institute (FSI) of Bangladesh Air Force Base Bashar in the capital on Thursday, reports UNB.
Assistant Chief of Air Staff (Maintenance) Air Vice Marshal M Mazharul Islam attended the ceremony as the chief guest and distributed certificates among the trainee officers. Major AKM Sarwar Haider of Bangladesh Army received the 'Chief of Air Staff's Trophy' for his best performance in the course, said an ISPR release.
The chief guest congratulated Officer Commanding of Flight Safety Institute and the trainee officers on the successful completion of the training.
Earlier, in the welcome address, Officer Commanding of the institute Group Captain Muhammad Harunur Rashid gave a brief resume on the course curriculum.
A total of 13 trainee officers, including six from Bangladesh Air Force, one each from Bangladesh Army, Indian Air Force, Sri Lanka Air Force, Royal Malaysian Air Force and three officers form Royal Jordanian Air Force, attended the course.
Among others, representatives from Sri Lankan High Commission, Royal Malaysian High Commission and Indian High Commission, Guest Lecturers from Military Institute of Science & Technology, Civil Aviation Authority of Bangladesh and senior BAF officers of Air Headquarters and Base were present on the occasion.
