BAF graduation award ceremony held

JESSORE, Oct 18: The Graduation Degree Certificate Award Ceremony of No. 58 and 59 Officers' Courses was held at Bangladesh Air Force Academy auditorium at BAF Base Matiur Rahman Jessore, was held on October 18 (Monday), says an ISPR press release.
Chief of Air Staff Air Marshal SM Ziaur Rahman attended the ceremony as chief guest and distributed the Bachelor of Science (Aeronautics). Bachelor of Arts (Pass) and Bachelor of Business Studies (Pass) Degree Certificates among the officers.
Twenty seven officers appeared at the B. Sc. (Aero) examination and eight officers at the BBS (Pass) examination. All of 35 officers got first division. Pilot Officer Sarwar Muhit of 58 officers course was adjudged the best in academics and was awarded with Osmani Gold Medal. Meanwhile, Pilot Officer Atique Ahmed of 59 officers course was adjudged the best in academics and was awarded with the Osmani Gold Medal. One officer also received professional certificate from BAF Academy.
Speaking to the officers on the occasion Chief of Air Staff said, "You must acquire knowledge and expertise so that you can lead Bangladesh Air Foce to the path of professionalism, glory, dignity and honour."
He further said that the victory in today's combat depended on the successful application of technology and skill. To maintain the effectiveness of our beloved Air Force, there was no alternative to enhance professionalism through acquiring knowledge and effective training, he added.
