BAF holds command safety confce

The 34th annual Command Safety Conference of Bangladesh Air Force (BAF) was held at the Falcon Hall in the city Thursday, said a press release. Chief of Air Staff Air Marshal SM Ziaur Rahman attended the conference as the chief guest. He spoke on the occasion and handed over Flight Safety trophies. Air Marshal Ziaur Rahman, said the objective of BAF should be to promote and instill a safety culture no matter where the BAF personnel are tasked to operate. BAF Base Bashar was awarded Inter-Base Flight Safety Trophy for the year 2010 and 35 Squadron, BAF was awarded Inter-Squadron Khademul Basher Flight Safety Trophy. On behalf of BAF Base Bashar, Air Officer Commanding of the Base Air Commodore Md Naim Hassan and on behalf of 35 Squadron, Officer Commanding Wing Commander S M Nazmul Anam received the respective trophies. Assistant Chief of Air Staff (Operations and Training) Air Vice Marshal Abu Esrar delivered welcome address. Among others, Director of Flight Safety Group Captain Syed Shakil Ali, representatives of Ministers of Defence and Civil Aviation and Tourism, Bangladesh Navy, Bangladesh Army Aviation, Civil Aviation Authority of Bangladesh and all private airlines of Bangladesh were present on the occasion. Senior BAF officers from Air Headquarters and all bases and senior airmen from BAF Flight lines also attended the conference.
