BAF plane wheel bursts on landing, pilot safe

CHITTAGONG, Apr 30: An A-5IIIA aircraft of Bangladesh Air Force (BAF) landed at Shah Amanat International Airport at 1223 hours after completion of routine training mission.
After touch down on the runway, the wheel burst and emitted fire.
Pilot Flight Lieutenant Tanvir Adib safely ejected from the aircraft.
There was no reportable injury sustained by the pilot.
A committee has been formed to investigate the cause of the incident.
Air Officer Commanding of BAF Base Zahurul Haque Air Commodore Md Humayun Kabir visited the spot and provided necessary guideline to rescue team, says an ISPR press release.
