BAF ‘Wintex-2014’ ends

A six-day annual winter exercise ‘Wintex-2014’ of Bangladesh Air Force (BAF) concluded on Monday. The main objective of the exercise was to assess and evaluate the operational capability of the Bangladesh Air Force. It was also to identify the weakness and depict required knowledge for further perfection. All types of BAF fighter aircraft, transport aircraft, helicopters, radar squadrons, including all BAF personnel, took part in the exercise, said an ISPR release. Chief of Air Staff Air Marshal Muhammad Enamul Bari visited various BAF installations, including BAF Base Bangabandhu and BAF Base Bashar, to witness different activities of Wintex-2014. To make the exercise more realistic, Bangladesh Army, Bangladesh Navy, Civil Defence and BNCC (Air Wing) participated in the exercise in the limited scale, according to a news agency.
