BAFEDA organises workshop on role of commodity

Bangladesh Foreign Exchange Dealers' Association (BAFEDA) organised a workshop on 'Role of Commodity Derivatives in Financial Risk Management' for the member banks at Eastern Commercial Complex in the city recently.
Bangladesh Bank has recently issued a circular on 'Hedging price risk of commodities' that would allow banks to help importers of various commodities such as wheat, cotton, base metals, etc. hedge their price risk.
The main speakers in the workshop were Head of Global Markets of Standard Chartered Bank (SCB) Alamgir Morshed, and its Associate Director Zahedul Arefin, said a press release.
