BAFEDA, SCB organise BOURSE course

Bangladesh Foreign Exchange Dealers' Association (BAFEDA) and Standard Chartered Bank (SCB) jointly organised a five-day BOURSE course in the city on September 9-13.
A number of inter-bank foreign exchange dealers from the country's central bank, nationalised commercial banks and private sector banks participated in the course.
Agrani Bank Managing Director and CEO and BAFEDA Chairman Syed Abu Naser Bukhtear Ahmed was present as the chief guest at the opening ceremony of the course.
He urged the participants to make the best use of the resources available during the course. He said, the course would help the foreign exchange dealers develop in-depth and intrinsic understanding of foreign exchange dealings that would help the overall development of the country's foreign exchange market.
SCB Chief Executive Officer Osman Morad said, as a leading bank it is SCB's duty to assist in the market development through sharing of knowledge and best practices, which would lead to develop a healthy and competitive environment.
Sonali Bank Managing Director and BAFEDA Vice-Chairman SM Aminur Rahman distributed certificates to the participants in the closing ceremony of the course as the chief guest. He expressed the optimism that the participating dealers would be able to contribute a lot to developing the local foreign exchange market.
BOURSE is an internationally accepted professional course for the foreign exchange and money market dealers.
