BAFEDA, StanChart hold bourse course

Bangladesh Foreign Exchange Dealers' Association (BAFEDA) in association with Standard Chartered Bank, Bangladesh organised a training titled 'Bourse Course 2009' in the city recently.
It was a five-day training on treasury and financial market dealings, said a press release.
A total of 28 foreign exchange dealers from Bangladesh Bank, state-owned commercial banks, private banks and foreign banks participated in the training programme.
The course covered several aspects of financial markets, including fundamentals of currency markets, foreign exchange dealings, money markets and risk management in treasury functions with simulation of dealings.
Jim McCabe, chief executive officer of Standard Chartered Bank, Bangladesh and Syed Abu Naser Bukhtear Ahmed, chairman of BAFEDA and managing director and CEO of Agrani Bank Ltd, were present at the certificate giving ceremony.
Executive committee members of BAFEDA were also present at the closing ceremony.
