Baghaichhari Pourasabha poll today

RANGAMATI, Jan 7 (BSS): The election of Baghaichhari Pourasabha under Rangamati district will be held for the first time tomorrow.
A total of 8,500 voters will cast their vote at nine centers to elect one mayor and 14 councilors. The polls will start at 8am and continue till 4pm without break.
Four mayoral and 38 councilor candidates are contesting the election.
Deputy Secretary Farhad Hossain of the Election Commission announced the election schedule on December 7.
Security forces have been deployed in the pourasabha area for maintaining peaceful atmosphere during the election.
