Bahrain Air operates direct flight from Ctg

CHITTAGONG, Mar 24: Bahrain Air, the first privately owned national carrier of Bahrain, started operating direct flights between Chittagong and Bahrain from Tuesday.
The first Bahrain flight with 131 passengers on board left Chittagong Shah Amanat International Airport at 7.30am, officials of Bahrain Air said.
They said the airline would be operating four flights a week from Chittagong to Bahrain in the summer schedules on Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday at 7.30am and 9.30am.
It will operate one direct flight from Chittagong in the winter season, they said.
Chief Operating Officer Abdullah-al Kader told the FE that the airline was playing a major role in linking Bahrain, the financial centre of the Middle East, to the destinations in the GCC (Gulf Cooperation Council) countries, the Levant, Africa and Asia with first and economic point to point services for the business community and the travelling public.
The airline was committed to offering its customers the highest level of comfort, service and reliability at the most competitive prices, he added.
