Bahrain Air starts direct Dhaka-Bahrain flights

Bahrain Air, the first privately owned carrier of Bahrain, began its first ever direct Dhaka-Bahrain operation Wednesday with a view to linking people of the two friendly countries, reports UNB.
The first flight of the airlines with 121 passengers took off from Hazrat Shahjalal (R) International Airport at 4:50 am. Earlier, the first flight from Bahrain carrying 80 passengers landed at the Airport at 4 am.
"Passengers will enjoy and get full-fledged services at competitive fare," Managing Director of Bahrain Air Ibrahim A Al Hamar said at a press conference in a city hotel.
Al Hamar said, Bahrain Air will operate seven flights--three from Dhaka and four from Chittagong every week.
The flight operation from Chittagong will begin on March 22.
Bahrain Air is now operating to about 22 destinations across the world, including the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) African and Indian subcontinent countries.
Chairman Flight Link Ltd (GSA Bahrain Air) Abdul Kadir, Manager Security and Corporate Affairs of Bahrain Air A Aziz Yusuf Al Shaer and Managing Director Flight Link Ltd M Aslam Chowdhury also spoke at the press conference.
