FE Report
The Bangladesh Association of International Recruiting Agencies (BAIRA) has decided to continue its efforts to cut migration cost and extend its support to the government in this connection.
The decision was taken at the BAIRA Executive Committee (EC) meeting held at its city office Tuesday, said a press release.
The meeting also agreed to the government's decision to reduce migration cost.
During the meeting, the BAIRA president Mohammad Abul Bashar sought necessary support and cooperation from his association members for increasing manpower export and reducing migration cost to a rational level.
He said the lower migration cost would not only help raise the country's overseas employment, but also ensure discipline in this sector.
The BAIRA president also observed that overseas employment sector is one of the vital sectors for the country's development.
"To maintain the existing goodwill over manpower export of Bangladesh, migration cost should come down to a minimum level," he said adding that BAIRA could play an important role in cutting the migration cost.
