Bakery industry in Ctg facing serious crisis

CHITTAGONG, July 15: As a result of abnormal price hike of materials required for making bakery products, accompanied by excessive rise in prices of power, gas and fuel, bakery industries in the port city are facing a difficult situation.
In the face of the persisting crisis, if government help is not extended to this sector then the bakery industry may face disaster within a short time.
This will not only throw thousands of bakery workers out of employment but also put the owners into a state of acute financial crisis,local bakery owners' association apprehanded.
