Balaka restaurant receives great honour in Britain

Bangladeshi restaurant Balaka has received invitation to provide catering at one of the events to celebrate the marriage ceremony of Prince William and Kate Middleton to be held on April 29, said a press statement. Balaka will provide food items to the event that will take place on the St Andrews University campus in Scotland. Two thousand people are expected to attend the function. "It is a matter of great honour for this Bangladeshi restaurant among 15 thousand others in the country. The restaurant will try to provide the best Bangladeshi food in honour of the Royal Couple," the statement added. Balaka is a Bangladeshi restaurant at St Andrews. It is a family run restaurant. The owners are proud to mention that they have been serving high quality Bangladeshi cuisine to the people of this beautiful historic town and the rest of the world for the last 29 years. The Balaka Restaurant group was initially set up by Abdur Rouf JP. The business is now run by his eldest son Michael Rouf. In 2004, Balaka was voted the best 'Bangladeshi Restaurant in Britain' by Pat Chapman's 'Good Curry Guide' and most recently was listed on the top ten best Bangladeshi restaurants in the UK by the British Curry Awards.
