Shane Warne, the over-rated Australian bowler, half of whose wickets were due to partisan umpiring according to most of his detractors, says that Muttiah Muralitharan's action must be tested once again, this time during a Test match. Warne's relatives, mostly Australian umpires have done their part in humiliating the Sri Lankan whenever they had the chance but Warne is going to be deposed soon as the top wicket taker and he is worried. He sounds as if he is on Murali's side fawning as if he understands Murali's troubles but even kids laugh at Warne's face whenever he claims something.
Warne 'believes' Murali's action 'should be assessed' in a Test match to end any lingering speculation over its legality. In other words there is a lot of weight in its speculated illegality. Warne never once said anything about Brett Lee, a known chucker because Lee is a compatriot. Warne also said nice words about Drill 'Mutha' Hare who is currently officiating in Ludo games in Outer Mongolia. But he offers his opinion on Murali when nobody asked for it.
Murali is more legit than Warne ever was, so there. But egged on by another half-wit called Jenner, Warne wants another test.
The former Australia batsman Michael Slater took part in the 2004 analysis. Before the tests he was convinced as an upright Australian that Muralitharan threw. But at the end of the trial he had no doubt whatsoever that Murali's action was legal, even the doosra. Bye-bye Shame, er, Warn, er, Worm, er, Warne.
