Saturday, 14 March 2026

Bangladesh restricted Pakistan to 274 at the second match of their three match ODI series at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium on Friday, reports bdnews24.com.
Winning the toss, Bangladesh skipper Mehidy Hasan Miraz opted to field. The captain in his second over broke the hundred run partnership of Pakistan's opening pair with the wicket of Maaz Sadaqat at the 13th over. Sadaqat hit six four and five sixes to get 75 of 46 balls. As runs slowed with Sadaqat's dismissal and the arrival of the new opener Mohammad Rizwan, Sahibzada Farhan attempted an aggressive shot playing a Taskin Ahmed delivery, which found the edge of his bat and went to Towhid Hridoy.
Experienced batter Mohammad Rizwan and Salman Agha scored a 109 run partnership playing 115 balls. Salman furiously slammed his helmet at the dugout following his odd runout in the 38th over. The non-striker batsman was slightly out of crease when he tried to help Miraz to pick the ball up after Rizwan flicked it from the other end. But Miraz made no delay in picking up the ball first and break the bails from the stumps. Salman hit seven fours and two sixes to get 64 from 62 balls.
Rizwan lost his wicket at Miraz's delivery afterwards as he attempted to play a boundary. The wicket-keeper batter was the third highest scorer of the match who played 59 balls to reach 44.
