Bandwidth to be raised to 145 GB: Minister

NARSIGNDI, May 14 (BSS): Minister for Post and Telecommunications Raziuddin Ahmed Razu said the government would increase bandwidth capacity to 145 gigabytes (GB) from the existing 44 by December next.
"Increase of bandwidth will help strengthen digitalisation process of the government while the Internet users will get faster communication to do their business," the Minister said this while speaking as the chief guest at an inaugural ceremony of the Regional Cooperatives Training Institute in Narsigndi Saturday.
The Minister said there is no alternative to people friendly cooperatives movement for building welfare-based modern Bangladesh. In this connection, Mr Razu said real
leadership comprising of honest, competent and democratic people is a must for making the cooperatives movement a success.
