BANFRU-4 leaves for Sudan

CHITTAGONG, Oct 26 (BSS): A Naval Contingent of 79 members left here Sunday for the UN Peace Keeping Mission in Sudan.
They left here at Shah Amanat International Airport by UN Chartered Airbus.
This Contingent consisting of 14 officers, 64 sailors and one civilian will replace the BNFRU-3 (Bangladesh Navy Force Riverine Unit), which was stationed at Malakhall of Sudan.
Earlier, on October 4, two officers, 11 sailors and one civilian of Bangladesh Navy led by Contingent Commander Captain M Sajjad Alam left Bangladesh for Sudan as advance team of this Contingent.
They left here at Shah Amanat International Airport by UN Chartered Airbus.
