CHITTAGONG, Dec 31: Bangabandhu Gold Cup and Bangamata Begum Fazilatunnesa Mujib Divisional Gold Cup Primary School Football Tournament concluded yesterday at the Chittagong MA Aziz Stadium in the city.
Moghachhari Government Primary School of Kaukhali under Rangamaty hill district became champion against Atla Government Primary School of Brahmanbaria (runners-up) in the final match of the Bangabandhu Gold Cup Tournament.
Tisha Chakma of Moghachhari was adjudged person of the final match and tournament while Ronny Chakma became the highest scorer of the Bangamata Gold Cup tournament. West Dalu Government Primary School of Satkania was the most disciplined team.
On the other hand, Rajmongalpur Government Primary School of Comilla became champion (3-0) and South Lakharkandi Government Primary School of Laksmipur became runners-up of the Bangabandhu Gold Cup Football Tournament.
Mobasser Hossain was adjudged man-of-the-match, Arman Hossain man-of-the-tournament, Imran Hossain highest scorer of Comilla and Waruf Govt Primary School of Laksmipur was the most disciplined team of the tournament.
Minister for Primary and Mass Education Dr Afsarul Ameen attended the concluding function of the divisional tournament as chief guest. He distributed prizes among the winners.
The function was addressed by CJKS general secretary AZM Nasir, panel mayor of Chittagong City Corporation Chowdhury Hasan Mahmud Hasni while Sufi Md Ali Reza, deputy director of Primary Education and member secretary of the tournament, gave welcome address presided over by Md Nurul Islam, president of the divisional tournament and Additional Divisional Commissioner (Revenue) of Chittagong.
The function was attended by Additional Deputy Commissioner (education and development) of Chittagong Khaled Mamun Chowdhury, vice president of Chattagram Zila Krira Sangstha Shahed Asgor Chowdhury, former secretary of CJKS Hafizur Rahman, joint secretary of Chittagong Divisional Sports Association Nazrul Islam Ledu and Tournament Sub-Committee convenor SM Shahidul Islam.
