Education Minister Nurul Islam Nahid expressed the hope that the Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Digital University, Gazipur will start its academic activities from the next academic session, reports UNB.
"We hope the academic activities of the digital university can start in the next academic session after completing all formalities," he told Parliament replying to a starred question from Nurjahan Begum (Women Seat-42) Wednesday.
The minister said the work to set up the country's first-ever specialised digital public university is going on. The Awami League government, during its previous regime, had taken steps for establishing a digital university and the Cabinet approved Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Digital University Bill, 2014.
