Bangabandhu Gold Cup enters final stage

CHITTAGONG, Dec 23 (UNB): The Bangabandhu Gold Cup (for boys) and the Bangamata Begum Fazilatunesa Mujib Gold Cup (for girls) Primary School Football tournaments reached the final stage at the MA Aziz Stadium in the port city Tuesday.
Haji Mir Ahmed Govt Primary School of Anwara and Mohammadnagar Govt Primary School of Panchlaish advanced to the final of the Bangamata Begum Fazilatunesa Mujib Gold Cup Primary School Football Tournament eliminating their rivals in the semifinals Tuesday.
In the day's semifinals, Haji Mir Ahmed Govt Primary of Anwara beat Sultan Al Nahian Govt Primary School of Double Mooring by 1-0 goal while Mohammadnagar Govt Primary of Panchlaish defeated South Kattali Alhaj Abu Siddique Chowdhury Govt Primary School of Pahartali by 3-0 goals in tie breaker.
In the Bangabandhu Gold Cup Football, Madhya Bahorpur Govt Primary School of Sitakunda and Purba Baharchhara Govt Primary School of Banshkhali reached the final eliminating their rivals in the semifinal at the same venue Tuesday.
In the day's semifinals, Madhya Bahorpur Govt Primary School of Sitakunda beat Dabua Govt Primary School of Raozan by 6-0 goals while Purba Baharchhara Govt Primary School of Banshkhali outplayed Chaturi Govt Primary School of Anwara by 7-0 goals at the same venue.
Final matches of both the Bangamata Begum Fazilatunesa Mujib Gold Cup and Bangabandhu Gold Cup Football Tournament will be held tomorrow (Thursday) afternoon at the same venues.
