Bangabandhu led every democratic movement: Tofail

Commerce Minister Tofail Ahmed has said Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman led every democratic movement of the country. "Bangabandhu gave leadership to every democratic movement including language movement, six-point movement and the Liberation War movement from the forefront," he said, while addressing a programme as the chief guest in the city. Tofail Ahmed said Bangabandhu was the first among the language prisoners and he was a pragmatic politician. "Around one million people gathered at the historic Suhrawardi Uddyan on February 23, 1969, to bestow Sheikh Mujibur Rahman with the honour "Bangabandhu" (Friend of Bengal)," he mentioned, according to BSS.
