Dhaka University Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr AAMS Arefin Siddique said Bangali culture is one of the richest cultures of the world, but now it is facing aggressions. The vice-chancellor made the remark while he was inaugurating a three-day hand painted pottery exhibition at Drik Gallery of Dhanmondhi in the city Tuesday. Ondor Sajja, an interior designing house, organised the pottery display on the occasion of Pahela Boishakh-1418 with the financial support of the Dhaka Bank, NCC Bank, Premiere Bank, Islami Bank Bangladesh Limited and Shahjalal Islami Bank Ltd. Mr Siddique said this kind of exhibition will help promote Bangali traditions and customs facing alien cultural aggressions. In this exhibition, more than three hundred hand painted potteries are on display, designed by Rumana Afzal Khan, Shabiha Akhter Khumu and Susan.
