BanglaCAT, the authorized dealer of Caterpillar Inc. in Bangladesh, hosted a special evening reception titled "Freedom 250" in association with the U.S. Embassy Dhaka on Wednesday at Radisson Blu Chattogram Bay View, commemorating the 250th Anniversary of the Independence of the United States of America, says a press release.
The reception was attended by Brent T. Christensen, Ambassador of the United States of America to Bangladesh, senior officials of the U.S. Embassy, Dhaka, distinguished leaders from the business community, prominent personalities from various socio-economic sectors, valued stakeholders, and the management of BanglaCAT.
Held under the global Freedom 250 initiative, the evening celebrated 250 years of freedom, innovation, progress, and the enduring partnership between Bangladesh and the United States. The event also reflected BanglaCAT's commitment in fostering collaboration and meaningful engagement with stakeholders.
As the authorised Caterpillar dealer in Bangladesh, BanglaCAT has proudly served the nation for over two decades by delivering world-class American technology, innovation, and engineering excellence, contributing to Bangladesh's industrial growth and development. Today, BanglaCAT is the country's leading provider of captive power generation solutions, with more than 65 per cent of export-oriented industries relying on Caterpillar generators. Across Bangladesh, over 5,000 Caterpillar machines support critical sectors -- from infrastructure and construction to power, marine, and inland waterways.
In Chattogram, Bangladesh's maritime gateway, BanglaCAT has built a strong presence in the marine sector, supplying Caterpillar-powered solutions to numerous government and private vessels. These achievements are backed by a nationwide service network delivering reliable 24/7 support to customers across the country.
Guests enjoyed the evening of networking and cultural exchange, highlighted by spirited performances from the U.S. Army's Tropic Lightning Band and Bangladesh's acclaimed Stone Free Band. The performances brought together American brass music and Bangladeshi rock music in a vibrant celebration of friendship, cultural appreciation, and shared values.
Speaking on the occasion, BanglaCAT reaffirmed its pride in celebrating this historic milestone alongside the U.S. Embassy, Dhaka and its valued partners.
