Bangladesh 21-41 Society sets sail

A new organisation styled 'Bangladesh 21-41 Society' emerged with an avowed mission of aiding the country to navigate a higher trajectory of development following its graduation from LDC status.
Launching the "non-profit and non-political" organisation at a press conference Monday, the organizers said they just want to work for the country and its people, including awareness-building about people's rights and country's prospects.
"As our country is marching towards attaining status as a peaceful, prosperous and developed one after graduating from LDC to developing group, we will work to overcome the challenges," said Mustafa Kamal Mohiuddin, Chairman of the Bangladesh 21-41 Society at the press meet at the National Press Club.
Mr Mohiuddin, also the Chairman of BDG-Magura Group, said this new organisation would contribute to Bangladesh's overall development, including poverty alleviation, employment generation and women empowerment.
"Azizul Islam Bhuiyan, Editor of Bangladesh News and Acting Editor of Bangladesher Khabor, was among others, present at the news conference.
