Bangladesh A off to India: Mominul aims to maintain winning streak

The Bangladesh A cricket team left Dhaka for India’s Bangaluru (formerly Bangalore) this (Monday) morning. Before leaving Hazrat Shahjalal (R) International Airport, the Bangladesh captain and brilliant national team player Mominul Haque said they want to continue their winning streak in India that they have been maintaining in the home soil from the beginning of this year. He will was talking to the reporters at a pre departure press conference held on Sunday at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium.
The 15-member A team will play three-match one-day series and two three-day matches against their Indian counterparts as well as Karnataka during their two-week-long tour of India. The three one-day matches will be held on September 16, 18 and 20 at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bangalore before the first three-day match against Indian champions Karnataka on September 22-24 in Mysore. Bangladesh will play their second and final three-day match against India A team which will be held on September 27-29 at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru. The team is expected to return home on September 30.
Before leaving Dhaka Mominul Haque told reporters: "If we are able to play good cricket, then we'll be able to win the series... our main target in the India series is to enjoy all the matches and to develop and rectify our performance.... we all want to win all the matches."
Responding to a query by a reporter, the dependable batsman said: "I think it would be a better for us as almost all the cricketers are matured in the team and have come from the national side... we are well balanced side and hopefully able to play good cricket.”
When asked about his target as captain in the tour, Mominul said he is yet to decided his plan but he said, besides his batting he would try to enjoy his new role of captaincy during the tour.
Bangladesh A team coach Heath Streak however expressed his firm determination about winning all the matches in the tour. He said: "In the last few days this team has been developing and now it has become a big challenge for us to maintain this consistency. We want to win the challenge," according to a news agency.
