Bangladesh A team scored 346 runs for all in 88.3 overs in the first innings against touring South Africa A team on the first day of the first four-day match at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium at Mirpur in the city Friday, reports UNB.
Winning the toss, the 2nd string Bangladesh side batted first and made a solid start scoring 193 for 3 in 42.2 overs with vice-captain cum opening batsman Shamsur Rahman making 84 off 111 balls that featured 14 fours and a six.
Lower order Nur Hossain contributed 49 runs off 81 balls with six fours and two sixes, two down Nazimuddin added 48 runs off 91 balls with six fours and a six while opener Shahriar Nafees made 51-ball 45 runs with eight fours.
Besides, Farhad Hossain (38), Shahadat Hossain (29), Faisal Hossain (23), Enamul Haque (7), wicket-keeper Shahagir Hossain (6), Rabiul Islam (2) and skipper Junaed Siddique (1) were the other contributors for the home side.
