Bangladesh Ansars take on Thakurgoan today

Holders Bangladesh Ansar & VDP will play Thakurgaon district in the opening match of the 8-team KFC National Women's Super League Football at Bangabandhu National Stadium today (Wednesday), reports UNB.
The match is scheduled for a 3:30 pm kick-off following an opening ceremony.
Shipping Minister Shajahan Khan will present as the chief guest at the opening ceremony. State-owned television station BTV will telecast the opener live.
The eight teams, seven of them zonal champions - Jessore, Rangamati, Thakurgaon, Narayanganj, Satkhira, Narsingdi and Tangail - and the defending champion Ansar & VDP, will be playing in the Super League, split into two groups, 'Ka' and 'Kha' groups.
Top two teams from each group will play in the semifinals.
The champion team will receive Tk 50,000 and the runner-up Tk 30,000 as prize money.
The best player and the highest goal-scorer of the tourney will bag Tk 5,000 each.
The preliminary round of the KFC National Women's Football meet began on July 10 in seven venues across the country where 36 teams took part.
The participating teams:

Group B: Narayanganj, Satkhira, Narsingdi and Tangail.
