Bangladesh Army clinch Office Hockey League title

Bangladesh Army clinched the Office Hockey League title beating Sonali Bank SRC by 2-0 goals in the final at the Maulana Bhashani National Hockey Stadium in the city Sunday, reports UNB.
The winners scored both the goals in the first half.
Skipper Sirajul Islam put the Army ahead with a field goal in the 12th minute (1-0) while Mostafa Sharifuzzaman doubled the margin in the 18th minute, also with a field goal (2-0).
Bangladesh Hockey Federation President and Chief of Air Staff Air Marshal SM Ziaur Rahman witnessed the final match as the chief guest and distributed the prizes.
Earlier, before the start of the match, a one-minute silence was observed in memory of those killed by the cyclone `Sidr' that ripped through the south and southwestern region of the country Thursday midnight.
