Bangladesh Bank, Jamuna Bank host Entrepreneurship Development Program

A month-long Entrepreneurship Development Program has been inaugurated in Jhenaidah recently jointly organised by Bangladesh Bank and Jamuna Bank PLC under the slogan "Udyokta Hobo, Desh Gorbo".
The programme has been launched under the "Skills for Industry Competitiveness and Innovation (SICIP)" initiative of the Finance Division, Ministry of Finance, funded by the Asian Development Bank (ADB), says a press release.
The inaugural ceremony was presided over by Md. Shahidul Islam, Deputy Managing Director & Chief Risk Officer of Jamuna Bank PLC. Md. Nazrul Islam, Additional Director of Bangladesh Bank and Project Director of SICIP, attended the event as the chief guest and formally inaugurated the event. Md. Samsul Alam, Executive Director of Bangladesh Bank, was present as the special guest.
Among others, N.H.M. Nusrat, Head of SME (Marketing), and Mohammad Kabir Hossain, Khulna Area Head of Jamuna Bank PLC, were also present.
The programme aims to enhance the skills and capacities of new and existing entrepreneurs through training and financial support. Participants will gain essential knowledge and expertise in business management, helping them access formal banking services and contribute to sustainable economic growth.
