Bangladesh beat Lanka in opener of SAFF Women's Football

COX'S BAZAR, Dec 13 (UNB): Bangladesh made a flying start in the 1st SAFF Women's Football Championship beating visiting Sri Lanka by 2-0 goals in their opening group A encounter at the Cox's Bazar Stadium Monday.
Sainu Marma and Sabina scored one goal each in the 11th and 71st minutes respectively for Bangladesh.
Earlier, in the day's group B match, India crushed Bhutan by 18-0 goals at the same venue.
Susmita made a double hattrick scoring seven goals while Bala Devi made hattrick with five goals, Tababi made hattrick with four goals, and Gayatri and Pinky netted one goal each.
Today's (Tuesday's) matches: Pakistan vs Maldives (11:05 am); Nepal vs Afghanistan (2:30 pm), both at the same venue.
