Bangladesh cannot ignore e-governance any more
Saturday, 15 November 2008
IN the present day context, there is no better alternative to electronic communication to speed up our activities. Some people and organisations have taken to advanced technology, fully or partially, to be with the trend. They have their own websites and depend on the internet for personal and business communication. The government and some other organisations are yet to adopt this working system.
Though all the ministries and other government offices have their own websites, they are not regularly updated. That is why people do not get the latest information from these websites. Full e-governance is yet to be achieved. The web designs are not user friendly.
Electronic communication has increased speed in activities. It is also smooth. Security concern, troubling many countries, should not bother us much as we are yet to have ICT application of a comparable level.
Our present move should be to go for allout use of the internet. It is, particularly necessary for all government activities. We cannot afford to lag behind in full e-governance anymore.
