Bangladesh caucus working for TPS in USA

NEW YORK, Feb 9 (BSS): Senior member of Bangladesh Caucus in the US Congress Congressman Gregry Meeks said Bangladesh Caucus was working for implementation of Temporary Protected Status (TPS) Programme to postpone the deportation of undocumented Bangladeshis from the USA in the wake of the onslaught of the devastating cyclone 'Sidr'.
Gregry Meeks, also member of the Congress House International Relations Committee, said this while addressing a rally Friday evening as the chief guest in New York.
The rally, presided over by Atiqur Rahman Salu, was organised by the Bangladesh-American Public Affairs Trust.
Hasanuzzaman Hasan, Mohammad Aminullah, Delwar Hossain, Wadud Bhuiyan, Mohammad Billah, Gias Ahmed and Akhtar Hossain Badal spoke on the occasion.
