Bangladesh citizens join policy opinion on global warming

Bangladesh citizens will join people worldwide today (Saturday) to give their opinions on global warming which would later be disseminated to the global forum on climate negotiations, reports BSS.
Citizen in 68 countries all over the world will deliberate and vote on some of the questions to be negotiated at the 15th United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP15) in Copenhagen in December this year. The decisions made at the COP15 would shape the global climate policy for years to come.
World Wide Views on Global Warming (WWViews) has initiated a campaign to influence the policy decision to be taken in the COP15 and for this purpose a programme would be implemented in 68 countries around the globe, including Bangladesh.
As part of it, INCIDIN Bangladesh, the global partner of WWViews in Bangladesh, will organise a citizens' consultation from 9 am to 4:30 pm today at BRAC Centre Inn in the city, AKM Mustak Ali, Executive Director of INCIDIN Bangladesh.
In his statement, Ali said a total of 100 representatives from different corners of the country would gather at the function and make their opinions and recommendations on global climate policy.
