Bangladesh clocks highest mobile growth in Q3

Bangladesh has clocked the highest year-on-year mobile phone market growth among top 10 Asia Pacific countries during the third quarter of the year ongoing, according to a recent report of Wireless Intelligence. It says the country has added 1,329,396 mobile phone connections from July to September of 2007, a 69 per cent increased net addition compared with the same period a year ago. Pakistan has secured the second position with 68 per cent year-on-year growth rate. The list is followed by India (60 per cent), Nepal (56 per cent), Sri Lanka (55 per cent), Indonesia (44 per cent), Macau (43 per cent), Cambodia (39 per cent), Thailand (35 per cent) and Papua New Guinea (30 per cent). — bdnews24.com
