Bangladesh eves beat Thailand by 90 runs inone-day match

Visiting Bangladesh women cricket team earned a 90-run victory over hosts Thailand women cricket team in the first one-day preparation match in Bangkok Friday, reports UNB.
Batting first, Bangladesh posted 128 for 9 in the stipulated 30 overs with skipper Tazkia Akhter contributing match highest 27 runs and Irene Sultana not out 26.
In reply, Thai eves were dismissed for 38 runs as Shamima Akhter Pinky scalped four wickets and Champa Chakma took two.
Bangladesh eves face Thailand in the 2nd and last one-day preparation match today (Saturday) before leaving for Malaysia on July 9 to take part in the eight-nation Asian Cricket Council (ACC) Women's Cricket Tournament that will begin in Johor Baru on July 11.
Bangladesh are placed in Group B with United Arab Emirates (UAE), Singapore and China, while Group A consists of hosts Malaysia, Hong Kong, Nepal and Thailand.
In the two opening day's matches, Bangladesh will play UAE at the Institute Perguruan Temenggong Ibrahim, while hosts Malaysia will meet Hong Kong at the Johor Cricket Academy.
In the remaining Group B matches, Bangladesh women team will play Singapore on July 13 and China on July 15.
