The match kicks off at 7.30 pm (BST), following the day's first match between host India and Sri Lanka which begins at 4.30 pm (BST) at the same venue, reports BSS.
Bangladesh captain Tanvir Hossain through a video message on Thursday said: "Allah gave us what we wanted to start in the championship …. our plan was to go ahead match by match in the championship… we are now in a comfortable position in the point table with six points from two matches ……. our main target is to go to the final and the match against Maldives is very important for us …… if we able to win against the Maldives our final spot will be confirmed."
It will be a do or die match for the Maldives to stay in the championship race after their 0-4 goal defeat to Nepal in the tournament opening match.

Earlier, Bangladesh managed a hard-fought solitary goal victory over Sri Lanka, courtesy of Mirazul Islam's all-important goal in the 71st minute of the match, in their tournament opening match and defeated host India by 2-1 goals in their second match to brighten their chance of playing the final of the championship.
Bangladesh will play their last match of the championship against strong Nepal on August 2 at the same venue. All the matches will be held at Kalinga Stadium in Bhubaneswar.
The top two teams will qualify for the final which will be held on August 5.
A total of five teams - defending champions India, Bangladesh, Nepal, Sri Lanka and the Maldives - are taking part in the tournament which is being held in round robin league basis.
