Bangladesh face Thailand today

Bangladesh play their opening group match against Thailand in the 7th Men's Asia Cup Hockey, which begins today (Friday) in the Indian city of Chennai.
The match gets underway at 9:30 pm, reports UNB.
Other matches on the opening day: Malaysia vs Singapore (7:30 am), Korea vs Sri Lanka (3:00 pm), Pakistan vs Hong Kong (5:00 pm) and India vs China (7:00 pm).
Bangladesh have been placed in Pool B of the 11-team Asia Cup along with Korea, India, China, Sri Lanka and Thailand.
The other five teams, grouped in Pool A, are Pakistan, Japan, Hong Kong, Singapore and hosts Malaysia.
Bangladesh will play their 2nd group match against strong China on September 1, the 3rd against Sri Lanka on Sept 3, the 4th against India on Sept 4 and the 5th and last group match against Korea on Sept 6.
The final match of the competition will be held on Sept 9.
