Saturday, 21 July 2007

The touring Bangladesh Under-19 team face the India Under-19 in their 2nd match of the tri-nation Under-19 Cricket Tournament tomorrow (Sunday) at the Colombo PSS Ground, reports UNB.
On Monday, the junior Bengal Tigers will play against the hosts Sri Lanka Under-19, also at the Colombo PSS ground, before playing the last league match against India on July 26 at the Police Sports Club ground in Colombo.
Earlier on Thursday, the tournament opener between hosts Sri Lanka U-19 team and Bangladesh U-19 was called off due to rain at the Police Sports Club ground in Colombo.
Both the teams -- Bangladesh and Sri Lanka U-19 teams -- got one point each, as minimum 20 overs were bowled by each of the sides.
Bangladesh, India and Sri Lanka are competing in the tri-nation cricket meet as part of their preparations for the Under-19 World Cup Cricket to be held in Malaysia early next year.
The final match of the tournament will be held on July 28 at the Colts Cricket Club Ground in Colombo.
