Bangladesh fail to dominate in Indo-Bangla Games

West Bengal, the host of the Indo-Bangla Games established their supremacy after wining 34 gold, 27 silver while Bangladesh took their second position after winning 27 gold, 31 silver and 24 bronze in the 3rd Indo-Bangladesh Bangla Games 2010.
The main defeat of Bangladesh was in athletics. Bangladesh bagged 7 gold, 9 silver and 6 bronze in athletics while the host country received 11 gold, 9 silver and 8 bronze medals.
Bangladesh failed to lead in the most attractive events of the games the Athletics on the first day of the games as the bagged 4 gold, 5 silver and 1 bronze and the final day of the events they got 3 gold, 4 silver and 4 bronze medals.
The poor performance of our athletes did not help to save the face as they were committed to performing the best show in the Athletics.
Nazmun Nahar Beauty, a proud female athlete of Bangladesh clinched the first gold in 200 metre hurdle. Other gold winners of the day are Alamin (Long Jump), Sumita Rani (100m hurdle) and Md Asadul Islam (110m hurdle) on the final day of the events.
