Bangladesh fair in Jeddah fetches huge spot orders

The eight-day Bangladesh Trade Fair in Jeddah concluded recently fetched huge amounts in spot orders, reports UNB.
Saudi-Bangladesh Chamber of Commerce and Industry organised the Bangladesh Fair in Jeddah International Exhibition Centre on September 6-13 this year.
Bangladeshi businessmen have also signed a good number of Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) with the Saudi businessmen for expanding business and investment.
A good number of Saudi businessmen have showed interest in investing in Bangladesh.
On the other hand, a total of 26 Bangladeshi businessmen have gained investment license from the SAGIA--the KSA investment regulatory authority.
The Jeddah fair of Bangladeshi products has gained huge response from the Saudi nationals. The industrial products, food items, readymade garments, handicrafts, cosmetics and toiletries and tea have gained comparatively better response.
Service sectors like bank, insurance, real-estate have gained responses from the Bangladeshi expatriates.
All the six participating banks in the fair - Southeast Bank, Pubali Bank, Mercantile Bank, National Bank, Islami Bank, Sonali Bank - have signed MoU with Saudi local banks for remitting money through banking channel.
A total of 31 housing and real-estate companies participated in the fair where 300 housing plots and 130 flats have been booked.
The life insurance companies have recruited several agents for working in KSA.
