Bangladesh finish 11th in Mixed Team Rapid Chess

Bangladesh finished 11th in the Mixed Team Rapid Chess of the 4th Asian Indoor & Martial Arts Games held in South Korean city of Incheon, reports UNB. Bangladesh earned 5 points playing five matches with two wins, one draw and two loses in the event. The 3rd, 4th and 5th round matches of the Mixed Team Rapid chess were held Friday. In the 3rd round, Bangladesh beat Japan by 3.5-0.5 points; lost to Indian Independent Athletes by 0.5-3.5 points in the 4th round and drew 2-2 with Uzbekistan in the 5th round match. China clinched the Gold Medal of the team event while Indian Independent Athletes taking the Silver and Vietnam the Bronze. The Mixed Team Blitz Chess of the tournament will begin today (Saturday).
