Bangladesh finish at 6th position in Asian Chess

Bangladesh Men earned the sixth position in the Men's section of the Asian Team Chess Championship held in Town Hall, Kolkata, India Monday, reports BSS.
Bangladesh Men earned 8 match points. Men's team won 4 matches and lost 3 matches out of 7 matches.
7th or last round games were held yesterday and Bangladesh team beat Singapore by 3.5 -.5 points.
In the last round game: GM Niaz Murshed beat FM Chua Zheng Yuen Terry, FM Mohammad Abdul Malek beat FM Lo Kin Mun Dominic and Mahtabuddin Ahmed Robin beat Tan Weiliang of Singapore. GM Ziaur Rahman drew with GM Wu Shaobin.
The sixth round games were held last Sunday and Bangladesh team beat Nepal by 3-1 points.
In the Women's section Bangladesh women also became sixth with 6 match points.
