Bangladesh National Hockey team suffered another humiliating 9-0 goals defeat against Asian giants South Korea in their last Pool A match of the 8th Asia Cup Men's Hockey Tournament in Kuantan Pathang, Malaysia Tuesday, reports UNB.
World number five South Korea dominated the first half 4-0 against the 34th ranking Bangladesh.
With the day's comfortable victory, South Korea reached the semifinal from Group A while the winner of Japan-Malaysia match will qualify for the semis from the same group.
This was the 3rd consecutive defeat for Bangladesh in the ongoing Asian meet after losing 5-0 against Japan and 7-1 against hosts Malaysia.
Bangladesh team, which left the country with a high hope of beating Japan, has been eliminated from the race with a frustrating result conceding 21 goals against one.
Bangladesh will now play the 6th place-deciding match against the bottom team of Pool B comprising India, Pakistan and China.
