Bangladesh gets $10.18m orders in IZMIR Int'l Fair

Bangladesh received prospective and spot orders of US$10.13 million and $0.05 million respectively in the 76th IZMIR International Fair.
The fair was held between August 31 and September 9 in Izmir of Turkey. The Export Promotion Bureau (EPB) in cooperation with the Bangladesh Embassy in Ankara, Turkey took part in the fair, according to a press release.
A total of 268 organisations from 36 countries around the globe took part in the fair. Five Bangladeshi manufacturer-cum-exporters took part in this fair.
Exportable items including jute goods, textile products, gent's and lady's dress, baby's dress, scarf, blazer, bed-sheet and handicrafts were exhibited in the fair.
A large number of visitors and potential buyers including foreigners visited the Bangladesh pavilion and expressed their keen interest in many Bangladeshi products, the release added.
