Bangladesh Hajj pilgrim dies in Saudi road crash

A Bangladeshi Hajj pilgrim has been killed in a road accident in the Kingdon of Saudi Arabia. Amber Ali was killed in the crash in Saudi Arabia’s Madinah on Thursday, according to a delayed message received here. Sources at the Bangladesh embassy in Riyadh that the accident took place on Qurban Road in Holy Madinah around 10:30am local time. When contacted, an official at Madinah Bangladesh Hajj Mission confirmed the incident. The body was recovered and sent to Miquat Hospital in Madinah. Bangladesh mission and hospital authorities identified the victim as Amber Ali, 52, son of Abdul Khalek, a resident of Talpara village in Chirirbandar Upazila of Dinajpur district. With Amber’s death, two Bangladeshi pilgrims have died this Hajj season, according to a news agency.
