Saturday, 13 December 2014

BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia has again termed the current Awami League-led grand government unelected and illegal. He said the government did nothing for the country and its people in the last six years. ‘It (government) failed to provide security to the people of Bangladesh. Under the Awami League rule, the people of the country are facing nemesis. They get killed at home and kidnapped while outside it. The government has given the country kidnapping, killing, enforced disappearances, corruption and all sorts of misrule, Khaleda, also the 20-party alliance leader, said while addressing a rally in Rupganj in Narayanganj on Saturday evening. ‘This illegal government is burden ... the people of this country is not secure anywhere,’ she told the mammoth public rally held at Balur Matth ground in Kanchpur. She said unemployment was on the rise. ‘No new industries have been set up in the last 6 years,’ claimed the former prime minister. The BNP-led 20-party alliance organized the rally. Khaleda has started addressing rallies more and more over the last few months after her party boycotted the January 5 national elections. On November 29, the former leader of the opposition attended a rally at the Town Hall ground in Comilla, according to a news agency.
