Bangladesh, Ireland, SL confident ahead of ICC Women's World T20

World Cup is the biggest stage in any sport and an opportunity for countries to showcase how good they are or how they have improved since the last event.
After the success of the 2017 Women's 50-over World Cup all eyes are fixed on the upcoming Women's World T20 in the Caribbean.
The focus might be on the hosts and defending champions Windies, or three-time winners Australia, but the lesser known teams will also look to make an impact, reports Cricbuzz.
Bangladesh, for example, are having a good year. They recently beat India twice in the Asia Cup and went on to win the trophy for the first time. Salma Khatun, the Bangladesh captain, is taking confidence from that victory and from the fact that the wickets in West Indies might help her slow bowlers.
Ireland, on the other hand, are taking inspiration from their hockey team which won a medal for the first time in a World Cup. They also have the motivation to do well because two of the senior most players Clare Shillington and Ciara Metcalfe are retiring after the World Cup.
Laura Delany and Co. are all geared up to send the veterans on a high even though they find themselves in a group that consists of Australia, New Zealand, India and Pakistan.
Chamari Athapaththu, Sri Lanka captain, falls on the uncertainties of T20 cricket - any team can win against any team on any given day. She also takes confidence from how her team has played T20 in the recent past and on how they have prepared for the main event.
