Bangladesh lost to African Select XI

The Bangladesh national football team suffered 2-3 goal defeat to African Select XI in a practice match at the Bangabandhu National Stadium Saturday, reports UNB.
National forward Zahid Hasan Emily put the national team ahead early in the 8th minute from a penalty while Nigerian forward Eleta restored the parity for African Select XI in the 30th minute following a combined attack.
The African team,formed with Dhaka based Africans, took the lead in the 33rd minute. Striker Eleta took a nice angular shot from the top of the box giving no chance to national team custodian.
After the resumption Touhidul Alam Sabuj equalised the margin for his team in the 56th minute.
Bangladesh was reduced to ten men in the 64th minute as defender Rezaul Karim got marching order for a serious foul on an opponent forward.
Nigerian Nwagwe Lucky completed the winners' tally scoring the third goal with a superb left footer in the 87th minute.
In the first practice match held in last week, national team held 1-1 draw with Sheikh Jamal Dhanmondi Club.
