Bangladesh make flying start in Asian Beach Football

Bangladesh made a flying start in the 1st South Asian Beach Games football beating the Maldives by 8-3 goals at Hambantota in Sri Lanka Saturday, reports UNB. Enamul and Abdul Baten Majumder Kamol scored hattricks while Robin and Mamun Mia netted one goal each for Bangladesh. Robin opened the account in the 2nd minute of the first session while Mohammad Arshad of Maldives made the equalizer in the 10th minute to finish the 12-minute first session 1-1. In the second session, Kamol scored one goal for Bangladesh in the 2nd minute (2-1) but Mohammad Abdullah and Yusuf Omar put Maldives ahead scoring two quick goals in the 4th and 6th minutes respectively (3-2). But Bangladesh came to the match again with Enamul restoring the parity in the 8th minute (3-3). Mamun Mia scored the 4th goal for Bangladesh in the 10th minute to dominate the 12th minute second session by 4-3 goals. In the third session of another 12 minutes, Bangladesh scored four goals without any reply from Maldives. Enamul scored two more goals in 2nd and 12th minute while Komol completed his treble with netting two more goals in the 9th and 10th minute. In the day's other match, Sri Lanka beat Nepal by 11-2 goals.
